I had the pleasure of visiting the Southern Living Idea house this past weekend with family and had a great time. This was actually the second time that I had visited this lovely home in this really special location, and I found out that the house is
actually on the market. More on that in a minute.
The house is built by Riverside builders and is constructed in the Florida Low Country Vernacular style of architecture. It overlooks the Intracoastal waterway and is located on a beautiful tree and southern moss-draped parcel. This home is a classic
example of the new old house concept that I have long been a fan of and you should really make the effort to come out and see it. It is available for tours up to December 8th and ticket as about $22. All proceeds go to benefit the Amelia Island Museum
on History. Get tickets and more information
here. The community is in the nascent stages of development and you can easily drive around the island and marvel at the spectacular homesites available among the oak trees. This is not a cookie-cutter community by any means.

The house is located on Crane Island, a largely unknown island that is adjacent to Amelia Island that is just now being developed into one of the area's newest communities. This house in particular, whose address is 50 Cord Grass Court, has a luxuriously
appointed interior that has been professionally designed. The home is being sold with all of the contents, so you can have it just as it is today in all of its splendor.

The asking price for such a unique property? $3.995M. The house features 4540 square
feet, five bedrooms and six bathrooms, and is located on a lot that is over a half-acre on one of Nassau County's most picturesque locations.
